Before we go anywhere, let's get things straight. I hate these "instant movie services" that we see popping up all over the Internet that supposedly allow you to get movies as quickly as you can click on them. I really do. And If you give me one second, I'll tell you exactly why. But we're getting ahead of ourselves already. So first things first, let's start with how I got here. A few days back, while working on a project online, a colleague of mine e-mailed me raving about this new application he got his hands on called EasyMovieAccess. It had a ginormous library of High Definition movies and quickly updated TV shows that could be quickly downloaded and played on his computer, 40" plasma TV, and other media player such as the iPod, Zen, PS3, X box 360, Wii, PSP or any other mobile device. EasyMovieAccess wasn't like all the other crappy sites. EasyMovieAccess was, "the bomb." Or so he said... Now this is a guy who’s opinion I trust. In fact, he’s notorious in my circle of friends for not spending ANY money for anything unless it’s absolutely top notch, which is why I even took a quick glance at it in the first place... But why do I have such a strong hate for these instant movie download services? Because...,
So....when this friend e-mailed me practically demanding that I download this free "Instant Movie Access" thing, I checked it out. Like I said, the only reason I did so was because he was normally spot-on with things like this. When I reached the EasyMovieAccess web site, I was initially impressed with the features. Good layout, good customer support, gigantic library of content, great user reviews... But, to keep my no BS approach, I have to be honest with you..., At this point, I still thought to myself, "nice program, lots of features, huge library of media, this will sell very, very, well.... But yet again, I have my DVD’s... so forget it" And that was that; I left the EasyMovieAccess site. I didn't even bookmark it.. A few days later, he called me over. He pulled out his TV remote and started pulling up movie after movie, after TV show, after TV show. He had just downloaded all three seasons of Prison Break, as well as several other TV shows. In addition, he had downloaded a TON of movies for his TV, as well as his iPod, Pocket PC, and his Nintendo Wii. He even had a movie screener for a movie that wasn't coming out for another two days! He said movie screeners like that came up on EasyMovieAccess all the time.. "I needed to drop everything I was doing and get EasyMovieAccess," or so he told me... So, I spent reluctantly spent the money and half-heartedly put my hands on a copy of EasyMovieAccess.. I should mention that I only purchased this because frankly, money isn’t that big of an issue for me. I was about to toss it aside and save it for a day when I had the flu and didn't feel like doing anything else, when my friend started up again. This time though, he started pestering the hell out of me. He made it clear he wasn't going to quit until I gave it a fair chance. So, I decided to give EasyMovieAccess a shot. I pulled it back out and began playing around with it...
Crazy claims? By the time you are at the end of this review, you will know without a shadow of a reasonable doubt. And with that, it's time to delve into the meat of the matter… You'll see the interface for yourself when you get to the main page of EasyMovieAccess. It's set up quite nicely. In addition to movie trailers, a demo search feature is included (as you'll see). I typed in No Country For Old Men (If you haven't seen this movie, you haven't seen anything!). It came back with sixteen results! Not only did they had it in HD and wide-screen, they had it in English, Spanish, Dutch, and French...Geez The EasyMovieAccess client it quick, quite nice, and easy to use. All you have to do is enter a search term (No Country For Old Men ;) ), then when it has popped up, simply click on it to download. Simple. One of my biggest concerns coming into EasyMovieAccess was with the library of content and frequency of updates. So, those were the first things I checked out. It turns out that because users can add content, the huge library is constantly growing and is quickly updated. Because of this, TV shows will appear in EasyMovieAccess nearly as soon as they appear on your TV! The last episode of Simpsons had just finished on TV, so I typed it in and found it right at the top of the list! Great! I'll take it! I don't get Showtime at my house, but both seasons of Dexter and Weeds were just waiting for me to click on them....so, I did (bloody awesome shows too I might add)! I was also quite surprised at the quality of the content. Though download times are slightly higher for High Definition movies, the image is crystal clear on my flat-screen TV. The library doesn't disappoint in the least. You'll have no trouble finding your favorite movies or TV shows. Classics, or current. They're all there. What is also quite nice, is the ability to bring media directly over to my iPod. For some files, a conversion isn't even necessary! When you do find you need to convert a movie or TV show for your mobile device, a few clicks is all that is needed. Having fresh, brand-new media, as well as staying current with the latest episode of LOST and Prison Break for free, wasn't bad at all. In fact, I really started to enjoy it! That was when I began to realize this is no simple "program". To say the entertainment you will get out of this is "gigantic" is a gross understatement. Just so you don't think I am exaggerating the scale of EasyMovieAccess, Let's do a quick recap on a FEW of it's features.
- I don't really know (or care), but I don't doubt it. The FAST updates allowing it to be current with the latest TV shows, and Movies, and even music, has been fantastic.
- I don't know, but what I do know, is that you'll be hard pressed to find a movie or TV show that's not in EasyMovieAccess. Even obscure foreign film treasures are there.
- You bet you can! Additionally, downloading from multiple sources cuts your download times from hours to minutes. The only thing that will limit you is the size of your hard drive.
- No! And that's the great thing! The small startup fee is a minor hassle, but it's great that they have it. It plays a huge part in keeping riffraff and viruses out. Additionally, users can "flag" a file if it is suspected to contain harmful viruses. It does require a small one-time fee, but it will more than pay for itself in your first one or two downloads. Especially since TV show seasons often run for over $50. Download one season, and you'll have made more than your money back. Once you become a EasyMovieAccess user, you stay a member. Even if you delete the program for some weird reason, then pick it up again five years later, you'll still be set and ready to go. As you can see, GamerMediaDownload is practically monstrous. In fact, each of the above features above could be a complete system or product in itself. The fact that you get all this for under $50, is quite stunning. Now, for the big question..., Does it live up to it's expectations? In short, I've been blown away. No viruses, no underwelming feeling, no crappy file quality, and most importantly, no problem finding every single TV show and movie I wanted. Don't even bother with any of the other sorry excuses for movie download services. EasyMovieAccess is king, and collectively blows all other movie download services out of the water. But user's-to-be shouldn't break out their party hats tomorrow; they need to do it now!! Here's why...
I HIGHLY recommend, you get on this PRONTO. Think of it this way. You want buy Season 3 of Prison Break when it comes out. You have two choices. You can: 1. Wait several months until it is released on DVD, where you can spend $50-$70 for it... OR... 2. Drop You will have paid for your EasyMovieAccess membership, and will have saved $35.52! That's over %50 off Prison Break's retail price! And while you're at it, you can also pick up any other TV show(s) or movie(s) of your choice! I don't walk by an insane deal that I'll walk out ahead on. What about you?
